M. Night Shyamalan and Joaquin Phoenix Reunite for New Project

The actor and director duo are in talks of coming together on an untitled project. It is set to begin filming this November in Philadelphia, Shyamalan’s hometown

The pair first worked together on the set of Signs in 2002 and then again for The Village two years later, their collaborations proving to be successful at both the box office and in furthering their careers.

As with many other Shyamalan projects, details of the film are being kept under wraps and will not be released until a later date, though given his track record, viewers can expect another movie with supernatural elements.

Jason Blum has signed on to produce the new project. He has recently worked with Shyamalan on the upcoming 2015 release of The Visit, in theaters September 11th. His involvement in the film has raised speculation on the budget that will be used, with Deadline reporting that they predict it to fall on the lower end of the scale.
